What Are THOR Nicotine Pouches?
THOR is a tobacco free nicotine pouch brand made in Luxembourg by Heintz van Landewyck, a family owned company that has made tobacco and nicotine products since 1847. The names and the Viking look are Nordic, but the pouches are produced in Luxembourg rather than Sweden.
Every THOR can holds 20 slim pouches, and the range is split into two strengths: THOR Strong and THOR HAMMER.
THOR Strong and THOR HAMMER
- THOR Strong: 9.5mg of nicotine per pouch (15mg/g), about 0.63g a pouch. This sits in our Strong category.
- THOR HAMMER: 16mg per pouch (20mg/g), about 0.8g a pouch. This sits in our Ultra Strong category.
HAMMER pouches are both larger and more concentrated, so each one carries 6.5mg more nicotine than a Strong pouch. Nordic Freeze, Frost Kick and Arctic Berries come in both, so check the figure on the can before you order.
What Does mg/g Mean?
The mg figure is the nicotine in one pouch. The mg/g figure is how much nicotine there is in each gram of filling. THOR prints both, and the per pouch figure is the easiest one to compare with other brands.
THOR Flavours
- Nordic Freeze (Strong and HAMMER): a cool mint. Retailers describe a hint of salty liquorice in the HAMMER version.
- Frost Kick (Strong and HAMMER): a crisp, cooling mint.
- Black Mint (HAMMER): sweet and salty liquorice with cold mint.
- Arctic Berries (Strong and HAMMER): mixed and wild berries.
- Honeymelon Heaven (Strong): honeydew melon with a light touch of spice.
For more choice, compare our mint flavoured nicotine pouches and fruity flavoured nicotine pouches from other brands.
Which THOR Should I Choose?
Neither range is a starting strength. THOR Strong suits people who already use pouches of around 8mg to 10mg. HAMMER is for experienced users who are used to Ultra Strong pouches. If you have never used nicotine, don't start.
How to Use THOR Pouches
Place one pouch under your upper lip and take it out whenever you like. Don't chew or swallow it, and put the used pouch in the bin.
Is THOR Snus?
People often search for THOR snus, but THOR pouches contain no tobacco leaf. Traditional snus is made with tobacco; THOR is a tobacco free nicotine pouch.
Side Effects
Nicotine is addictive. A pouch that is too strong for you can cause hiccups, nausea, dizziness or a racing heart. If that happens, take the pouch out and choose a lower strength next time.
FAQs
Who makes THOR nicotine pouches?
THOR is made by Heintz van Landewyck, a family owned tobacco and nicotine company based in Luxembourg. The pouches are produced in Luxembourg, even though the brand uses Nordic names and Viking styling.
What strengths does THOR come in?
Two. THOR Strong has 9.5mg of nicotine per pouch (15mg/g) and THOR HAMMER has 16mg per pouch (20mg/g). At Pouchline, Strong is in our Strong category and HAMMER is in Ultra Strong.
What is the difference between THOR Strong and THOR HAMMER?
Strength and pouch size. A Strong pouch weighs about 0.63g and holds 9.5mg of nicotine; a HAMMER pouch weighs about 0.8g and holds 16mg. Some flavours, such as Nordic Freeze and Arctic Berries, come in both.
What does THOR Black Mint taste like?
Retailers describe it as sweet and salty liquorice with ice cold mint and a gentle warmth at the end. At Pouchline it comes in the 16mg HAMMER range.
How many pouches are in a THOR can?
Every THOR can holds 20 slim pouches. Strong cans weigh 12.6g net and HAMMER cans 16g.
Are THOR pouches tobacco free?
Yes. THOR pouches contain nicotine but no tobacco leaf. Tobacco free does not mean nicotine free: nicotine is addictive.
Is THOR suitable for beginners?
No. Even THOR Strong at 9.5mg is a firm strength, and HAMMER at 16mg is Ultra Strong. Both are meant for adults who already use nicotine pouches regularly.
