VELO Nicotine Pouches: Flavours, Formats, Strengths and Dots

The guide also describes VELO Sensations, including Cinnamon Flame, Lime Flame, Peppermint Storm, Orange Spark and Mango Flame. VELO uses this name for products characterised by warming, tingling or cooling sensations. Flavour-family names and strength-range names are separate parts of its terminology.

VELO Mini and VELO Slim

Mini and Slim are VELO’s pouch-format names. Mini denotes the smaller format. They also differ in the number of pouches per can: VELO’s UK FAQ states that Mini cans contain 15 pouches and Slim cans contain 20.

A format name does not fully describe a VELO product. “Mini” identifies its format, whereas “Ruby Berry” identifies its flavour. Similarly, “Slim” is not another word for “Intense”: Slim products appear across more than one of VELO’s ranges. Keeping these names separate makes the structure of the brand easier to follow.

VELO strengths and its three named ranges

VELO’s UK website currently displays strengths of 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14 and 17 mg per pouch across its range. This is a brand-wide set of values; it does not mean every flavour comes in every strength or both formats.

The three range names are Mellow, Original and Intense. The strength information displayed in the site’s navigation groups them as follows:

These groups overlap. For example, 8 mg appears under both Original and Intense in the navigation. The range name therefore does not identify one fixed nicotine amount. This information is visible in the strength panel on VELO’s UK FAQ page.

How VELO’s dot system works

VELO uses filled dots as a visual strength indicator. Its published nicotine strength guide shows a scale with six positions, grouped by range:

The table groups products; it does not establish one universal milligram value for each dot count. A three-dot rating appears within all three ranges in that guide. Six filled dots represent the top category on the scale it describes.

Why some VELO dot charts disagree

There is an inconsistency in VELO’s own online information. Its article dated 27 July 2026 describes 4 mg as one dot and 6 mg as two dots, which differs from the Mellow grouping in the strength-guide table above. That newer article also gives narrower strength spans for Original and Intense than the site’s navigation. Both versions were accessible when this article was checked.

Consequently, a fixed chart claiming that each dot count always equals one particular strength would overstate what these sources establish. For an exact VELO variant, its stated mg-per-pouch figure is the clearer numerical reference. Older VELO names and the LYFT connection

Older VELO articles can use different names from later guides. For example, VELO’s article dated October 2020 mentions Polar Mint and Tropic Breeze. Their appearance in an older article does not, by itself, establish a current name-for-name replacement.

VELO also addresses its connection with LYFT in its official FAQ, describing the same producer and production approach alongside a changed name, design and flavour range. This explains why LYFT can appear in older discussions of the brand.

Common questions about the VELO range

Is Mini a flavour or a strength?

Mini is a format. It should be read separately from the flavour name and the nicotine strength.

Do more dots mean a different flavour?

No. VELO uses the dots to communicate strength categories. A flavour name identifies a different characteristic of the product.

Is VELO Intense one particular strength?

No. Intense is a named range containing several strengths. VELO’s own online range descriptions also differ, so the name alone cannot give an exact nicotine amount.

Does an icy flavour name tell you the nicotine strength?

No. VELO’s flavour families and numerical strengths describe separate characteristics. A cooling flavour description is not a nicotine measurement.
